Freight Train, 2000
Wooden freight train car with closed doors, perforated by innumerable bullet holes. Light beams shine through the bullet holes.
The idea for this piece is based on a real incident some years ago. Hidden in a freight train car, a group of Mexican workers, tried to illegally enter the USA. The car was left in the middle of the desert, and, since it was locked, the workers died in an extremely painful way. |
