Artists from different cultural backgrounds who live in the Netherlands were selected under the title, "We are the World".
As can be read in the curatorial text, the show is meant to be about cultural balance within the multicultural society, primarly that of the Netherlands, which is being scrutinized. Though the quick integration of non-western immigrants had always been seen as a sign of tolerance, the nation is now deeply divided, and frustration and xenophobia grows.
