The Opposite Is True #2. 2006
An Action
The Action was timed to take place before any artworks in the Singapore Biennale had been installed, and prior to the renovation of the building into the future National Art Gallery of Singapore (2010). Using a portable thermal fogger the artist released a sufficient amount of human pheromones to fill up the interior of the building. The entire building was evacuated during the course of this Action. A plaque commemorating this event is situated at the entrance to City Hall. Pheromone is a chemical produced by a living organism to transmit messages. Messages are believed to trigger communication signals of a sexual nature that attract beings to one another.
