Born in 1958, Germany. 1977-82 studied German Literature, History and Art
History at the University of Tübingen. 1984-86 PhD grant by the Studienstiftung
des Deutschen Volkes. 1987 PhD, dissertation topic: Early political posters
in Germany 1848 - 1918.
1982-87 worked for the educational service of the City of Stuttgart and the
educational department of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. 1987/88 postdoctoral
fellowship of the J.P.Getty-Foundation at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York
University. 1988-90 assistant curator at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. 1990-95
deputy director at the Galerie der Stadt Stuttgart.
Since 1995 head of visual department at the Institute for Foreign Cultural
Relations (ifa), Stuttgart.
She published intensively on contemporary art and organized several conferences
on "Art in Central and Eastern Europe", "Art Exchange" and "Biennials".
