In her art, Sandra Ramos concentrates on migration, leaving one's home, and the painful experiences that come out of that. Her suitcases full of paintings and objects represent the trauma of leaving and of breaking personal ties. The suitcases are like transportable homes - a microcosm of one's own history and environment to be taken wherever one goes. |
