 The building complex was built in 1897 and expanded upon numerous times in the following years. Brewing operations were discontinued in 2000. Through the use of this new exhibition venue, the Documenta gains 6,000 m² of additional space. The rooms were redesigned by the Viennese architectural firm Kühn-Malvezzi, who conceived the architecture for the entire Documenta11. |
