National Art Gallery Bangkok

National Museum Bangkok

In 1874 King Rama V opened the first public museum in the Concordia Pavillon inside the Brand Palace. The museum was later moved to its present site, and from 1934 on, was expanded upon to become the national museum. Rama IX Art Museum Foundation

Foundation set up in 1996 to establish a museum for modern and contemporary Thai art. Since there is as yet insufficient funding for the real building, it is for now a virtual museum.
