Topkapi Sarayi (Topkapi Palace Museum)

Topkapi Sarayi was the residence of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire from 1459 until 1853. It now houses one the world's greatest collections of porecelain from China (10,700 works ranging from the 13th - early 20th century) and Japan (730 objects, 17th - 19th century) - see Porcelains.
