Hakone Museum of Art

Opened in 1952. Permanent exhibition of masterpieces of Japanese, Korean and Chinese pottery and porcelain. Main focus of the collection: periods Kamakura (1185 - 1333) and Muromachi (1333 - 1573). [en]

Hakone Open-Air Museum

70,000 sqm open air museum with sculptures by Henry Moore, among others; a sculpture gallery in the main building (incl. Brancusi, Calder, Dubuffet); Picasso gallery with 700 of his works; and a painting gallery with pieces by Renoir, Utrillo, Chagall, Léger, Umehara Ryuzaburo, Saeki Yuzo, and others. [en]

Narukawa Art Forum

Museum in Moto-Hakone. Approx. 1500 modern Nihonga (paintings in the Japanese style). From the museum, one has a wonderful view across Ashi Lake, with the red Torii (archway) of the Hakone shrine on the opposite bank, and Mount Fuji in the background. [ja]

Pola Museum of Art
